It is recommended that an inspection is carried out at 6 monthly intervals throughout the duration of a tenancy. Our Inspection Clerk will make contact with your tenant to arrange a convenient time to attend. A report will be provided to include an overview picture of each room, a close up image if there is a maintenance issue to report, and a written description of the overall condition and cleanliness of the property.

A compliance check of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors will be carried out, along with a fire door inspection if appropriate. These checks offer the tenants a chance to point out any issues they may have at the property, they also allow an inspector to note something that perhaps the tenants haven’t thought to raise, and they also check the safety and can advise the landlord on compliance. Often, something as simple as noting some mastic is failing, can prevent leaks and further damage later if caught in time.
